The City of Indio Fire Services/Riverside County Fire Department would like to welcome you as participants to the Coachella Music Festival & Stagecoach Music Festival. We hope your stay in Indio will be a pleasant one.
The City of Indio Fire Services/Riverside County Fire Department will conduct fire inspections for all concessions, and enforce fire protection standards for the Festival. Inspections will consist of certifying that all participants in the Festival have met the required standards. All concessions and exhibits will be inspected on or before opening day. Those exhibits and concessions, which do not meet the minimum fire safety standards on the day of inspection, will be required to comply prior to conducting business.
The following is a list of the most common fire safety violations that the fire inspectors will be checking for:
Please remember that the City of Indio Fire Services/Riverside County Fire Department’s primary concern is your safety. If these fire safety rules are followed we should have a safe and enjoyable Music Festival. If you have any questions, please call the Indio Fire Prevention office at (760) 347-0756.

What exactly is being judged live and what criteria is used.

Teams will be scored based on a two minute interaction with the judges
On Taste of BBQ, Presentation both oral and physical
Our Goal is to find the Stagecoach Taste of BBQ Champion
with three scores
1 Overall finish in the IBCA blind box
2 Overall Best Booth
3 Overall in the LIVE
the three are added together, low score wins
example IBCA 1st over all 1 point, Booth 10th overall, Live 27th

Stagecoach is a adventure, half the process is getting there.
Just so you understand a little of the how it comes together….
Goldenvoice is actively selling the space within the polo grounds all year
and as we get closer to the festivals date this speeds up
Months ago you were told we were returning to the Terrace area
and as the map was more and more defined it became obvious
the contest would need to be in two rows of teams as it has been in the past.
Upside is we will be able to enjoy the 20X50 spaces like 2013
Downside half the teams will not have public frontage and will not
be able to compete in LIVE judging

I was under the empression that for the taste of BBQ we could serve the 4 comp meats every day plus our one none comp item every day and chili on sunday. that is not what I am reading above. Also our non comp items listed are not what we asked for.
